About Us:: Mission & Vision
NAAC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Albanians and promoting peace and economic development in the Balkans by fostering democratic policy, promoting respect for human rights, and conducting educational and developmental programs.
The Albanian-American Voice in Washington
NAAC provides timely information and analysis of Albanian issues to U.S. government officials, and policy and opinion makers in Washington, D.C.; issues press releases and position papers; members provide expert testimony at US Congressional Briefs; serve as speaker at leading think tanks and academic forums; and provide commentary for leading media outlets in the US and the Balkans.
In Our Communities
NAAC is dedicated to engaging the Albanian-American community in the U.S. democratic process. We routinely arrange meetings between community members and their elected Congressional representatives; hosts public forums by senior US government officials and Balkan scholars at cities around the country; and educate Albanian-American voters to increase their participation in elections.
Building Democratic Institutions
NAAC assists Albanians in the Balkans to build strong democratic institutions. Together with leading "think tanks," we cosponsor roundtable conferences in Washington, DC at which scholars and policymakers offer their views on the challenges facing the region and offer possible solutions to meet those challenges.
Providing Humanitarian Assistance
NAAC seeks to help the Albanian people of the Balkans, especially the children, rebuild their lives, which were shattered by a decade of war. We provide assistance, through various grants and charities, to local, non-profit humanitarian organizations...
