On Friday, September 23rd, 2011, NAAC will host its 15th Annual Awards Gala at the Gotham Hall in New York City. This year, NAAC will honor the former Prime Minister Tony Blair with the Hands of Hope Award for his historic contribution to Kosova’s independence; Will also posthumously honor the life of Ambassador Richard Holbrooke with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional diplomatic courage to bring peace to the Balkans; And commemorate the 20th anniversary of U.S. - Albania relations.

The National Albanian American Council Presents its 14th Anniversary Dinner

As it was announced in an earlier communiqué the National Albanian American Council will hold its 14th Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, September 23, 2010, 6:00PM, at the prestigious Pierre Hotel, on 2 East 61st Street in New York City.
This year NAAC honors with the Lifetime Achievement Award to Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhi, known to the world as Mother Teresa — honoring, celebrating and remembering this little Albanian woman with an amazingly large heart, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of her birth.
The ‘Hands of Hope Award’ will be presented to Nick Burns (read biography) – Former Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs 2005-2008. Throughout his career, he has been an active supporter of Albania and Kosova, dedicating time and efforts to resolving the issues in the region.

The Ad Souvenir Journal is an integral yet traditional part of the Annual Awards Galas. We value your generosity and hope you find your ad entry beneficial to your business as well.
· Keep in mind the Souvenir Journal will be handed out to more than 500 dignitaries, business executives and other distinguished guests who will attend the 14th Annual Awards Gala.

This special event offers a fun yet meaningful platform for our guests to play on a highly acclaimed golf course.
We are grateful to so many of you who have shown great loyalty to attend our annual event and we encourage all new golfers to support NAAC raising the Albanian American voice in Washington D.C. Thanks to you and others like you, we have been able to keep Albanian issues alive in the minds of the leading foreign policymakers in Washington and throughout the Balkans, while providing educational / leadership training and humanitarian support.

» September 25, 2009: 13th Annual Awards Gala of the National Albanian American Council

You are cordially invited to the 13th Annual Awards Gala of the National Albanian American Council
(NAAC), which will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009, 6:00PM, at the prestigious Cipriani 42nd
Street in New York City.
This year NAAC honors Martti Ahtisaari – former President of Finland,
Nobel Peace Prize winner and Special Envoy of the UN Secretary
General for the Kosova Status Talk – with ‘Hands of Hope Award,’ for
his historic contribution leading to Kosova’s Independence.
The ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ will be presented to Fadil Berisha –
world renowned photographer – for his superb artistic and philanthropic
work to promoting the Albanian culture.
President Ahtisaari and Mr. Berisha join a reputable list of previous NAAC honorees, which includes
President Bill Clinton, Secretaries of State James Baker and Madeleine Albright, Senator Bob Dole,
Assistant Secretary of State James Rubin, Head of UNMIK Soren Jessen Petersen, General Wesley
Clark, Ambassador Frank Wisner Jr., Congressman Eliot Engel, and others.
As in previous years, the gala will be attended by various ambassadors, representatives of the Albanian
and Kosova governments, artists, media and other personalities of the Albanian American community.
