MEETING WITH FILCOM LEADERS. Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. met with members of the Filipino-American Community led by Loida Nicolas Lewis of the US Pinoys for Good Governance (USP4GG) at the Philippine Embassy on 14 September 2012. Among those who attended the meeting were Butch Meily of the Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce, Faith Bautista of the National Asian-American Coalition and Eric Lachica of the USP4GG. During the meeting, Ambassador Cuisia sought the support of Filipino-American Community leaders in urging Filipino-Americans to exercise their democratic rights by taking part in the forthcoming elections in the United States and the Philippines. Ambassador Cuisia said Filipino-Americans should register for the presidential elections in November and for the congressional elections in the Philippines in May.
