The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) congratulates newly elected President Barack Obama on his historic victory to become the 44th President of the United States of America, and we also send our heartfelt congratulations to our steadfast friend Vice President Joe Biden. Additionally, we welcome the victories of the Co-Chairs of the Albanian Issues Caucus, Congressman Eliot Engel (D) and Congressman Mark Kirk (R), and we congratulate the victories of the numerous Senators and Congressmen who have been strong supporters of Albanian issues.
As we have with the previous Democratic and Republican administrations, NAAC looks forward to furthering our close collaboration with President Obama, his administration, the Senate and the House of Representatives. Today, soldiers from Albania serve bravely with US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the people of Kosova remain forever indebted to the US government securing Kosova’s independence.
We also congratulate the Albanian American community for their active participation in the elections. As a vibrant community throughout the US we have made tremendous strides towards helping to build a better future for our children in the US and helping to support our families and friends in the Balkans.
