NAAC 17th All-Virtual Economic Development Conference

Tri Counties Bank and the National Asian American Coalition Announce Partnership in Minority-Owned Business Initiative

Tri Counties Bank announced its partnership with the National Asian American Coalition (NAAC) as part of the Bank’s initiative to support minority-owned businesses throughout its footprint. NAAC is one of four organizations that the Bank is partnering with that offer programs to assist in the development of minority-owned businesses.

Tri Counties Bank is matching donations up to $25,000 for the National Asian American Coalition until November 30, 2020. All donations to NAAC during this initiative will support its COVID-19 Small Business Loan Program, which is designed to help minority-owned businesses in California through the COVID-19 pandemic. These loans help business owners restore, maintain, build, or grow their business and can assist in paying for rent, inventory purchases, payroll and supplies to rebuild and reopen.

Homebuyer Down-Payment Assistance Program (for San Diego Police Officers)

“Public safety is our number one priority. Assisting our San Diego Police Officers with purchasing a home in the City of San Diego helps them establish roots in the communities they serve, and provides them with an additional incentive to join and stay with the San Diego Police Department. I am pleased to see the program come to fruition,” said Councilmember Chris Cate.

The following program is managed and administered by the National Asian American Coalition (NAAC), a HUD-Approved 501(c)3 nonprofit housing organization and certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), providing comprehensive counseling and preparing clients for mortgages in diverse communities throughout California. This is a partnership between NAAC and the City of San Diego, with contributing bank partners including Mechanics Bank and Pacific Western Bank.
